New Unit: ML Poetry - Introduce vocabulary: Stanza, Poet, Rhyme Scheme, Rhythm, Lines, Repetition. 

Mentor Text: Poem ~ Saw My Teacher On Saturday

Writing: Students will continue to draft their Personal Narratives using their prewriting strategies they have been creating. 

Tuesday: 

ML: What is Assonance? We will look at the poem "A Hat for a Cat" to find examples of Assonance.
