Reading Workshop: 

This week we will begin Narrative Poetry. A story told in poetry form. Students will continue to learn about figurative language with:
-Metaphor
-Simile
-Personification
-Idiom
-Alliteration

Some of our Narrative Poetry texts this week will vary between:
-Casey at the Bat
-Susan
-Making Changes

*Unit 6 Poetry Assessment, Thursday, April 18 (60% grade)

Writing Workshop: 

Students have been trying their hand at the Genre: Rhyme. Students worked last week writing Rhyming poetry. This week they will move into the Genre: Free Verse.
